For SaaS companies
You sell a product that calls AI models. Know what each customer costs you in AI, protect your margin, and cap a customer before they cost more than they pay.
If you sell a product that calls AI models, whether it is built on AI or adds AI features, your AI bill grows with every customer, but the provider's invoice does not say which customer ran it up. CoreValue answers three questions, in this order.
1. What does each customer cost us?
Your developer adds one header to each request, Cova-Customer-Id, with the
customer's ID from your own system. From then on, Spend shows cost per
customer, per feature and per model.
Hand this to your developer: Tag your traffic and the OpenAI or Anthropic quickstart. It is two lines of code and one header.
See Spend.
2. Are we making money on them?
Record what each customer pays you (a monthly fee, a markup on usage, or both), and Budgets & Limits → Customers shows revenue and margin next to cost. Set a margin floor and you are emailed before a customer drops below it.
See Customer pricing and margin and Unit economics.
3. Can we stop a customer costing too much?
Give each customer a monthly budget. When they reach it, their requests are refused before the provider is called, and every other customer carries on.
See Per-customer budgets.
